The Grand Junction based program completes Colorado Shines evaluation on October 30th. 

 

Eagle View Learning Center announced today that it has been rated by Colorado Shines, the state's quality rating and improvement system for early care and learning programs. 

 

Eagle View Learning Center opened August 1, 2015. Since that date they have completed the rigorous evaluation done by Colorado Shines quality improvement plan. Eagle View Learning Center received the Level 4 rating, a testament to its commitment to providing a high-quality learning environment that supports the development of Grand Junctions children. This Colorado Shines rating is one way that Eagle View Learning Center demonstrates its quality and dedication to continually improving the services it offers. Colorado Shines is a free service offered through the Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Early Childhood which rates Colorado's early care and learning programs, connects families with quality programs, and helps early care and learning programs improve quality.

The program is designed to look at how early learning programs:

Support children's health and safety.

- Ensure their early childhood professionals are well-trained and effective.

- Provide a supportive learning environment that teaches children new skills.

- Help parents become partners in their child's learning.

- Demonstrate strong leadership and business practices.

Eagle View Learning Center offers more than just child care. We provide an opportunity for children to explore, observe, ask questions, predict and integrate their learning to every day experiences.

 

This movement is known as S.T.E.M. learning. STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We have added the Arts into our program as well. Eagle View Learning Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; offering the only full day S.T.E.M. preschool and child care program in Mesa County.
